The photographs are taken by an amateur photographer, Michael Middleton, Kate's father. They were taken in the garden of the family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, earlier this month.
The new parents, Kate and William, pose with their baby, and two dogs black cocker spaniel Lupo, and Tilly, a golden retriever.
The family is trying to conceive an image of normalcy and middle class: dogs, grandfather photographer, baby, modest clothing, backyard photo shoot, not using a nanny.
How normal and middle class is the royal family though? Just because Prince George is not pictured with a silver spoon in his mouth, does that mean he isn't privileged?
No matter how normal the royal family acts, it will not change the fact that they are royal. The family is still sitting on a mountain of wealth. Prince George is still third in line for the crown. The family still lives in palaces and goes on vacation.
Whether or not the royal family is normal, average, middle class, or wealthy, everyone loves to hear about a new baby. It doesn't hurt that he is royal and could be king one day.
