Royal Caribbean is normally not the cruise line in the headlines for bad things happening, but this week over a dozen of their passengers ended up with the flu. On Jan. 19, CNN reported that these passengers were on a four day cruise on the Majesty of the Seas.

Actually 66 of the 2,500 passengers on the ship ended up sick after this voyage. They also had two crew members end up sick. It was all a stomach problem with complaints of vomiting and diarrhea. At this time, they are suspecting that it is the norovirus. This is very contagious so it could have been spread by food or water, but also just from person to person on the ship in those close quarters.

Royal Caribbean did what they can to make sure the ship is clean for the next voyage. They have done extra cleaning and sanitizing to cover everyone. They also said that the people affected did feel better after over-the-counter medication.
