If you're the type that loves to book your cruises way in advance (giving you plenty of time to make payments on your trip) or if you want a specific cabin or sailing date, this is a reminder that this week both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises begin opening reservations for the 2012-2013 sailing season.
Locally, Royal Caribbean is keeping Explorer of the Seas in Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey which will be offering year-round cruies opportunities to Bermuda, New England and Canada, and, of course, the Caribbean; and Celebrity Cruises is bringing Celebrity Summit back to Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) which will be offering 7-night Bermuda sailings for the 2012 summer season. Currently no information regarding other Celebrity Cruise Lines cruises from New Jersey is available, but it can be confirmed that Celebrity Silhouette will be repositioned to Europe (at least for the summer season) beginning with a Transatlantic sailing from Bayonne on April 22, 2012. The 13-night cruise offers ports of call in Lisbon, Portugal; Seville, Spain; Barcelona, Spain; Provence, France; Florence/Pisa, Italy and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy.
