Roy Garber dies: 'Shipping Wars' star, 49, dead after heart attack

Shipping Wars” fans are shocked and saddened to hear that one of the show's stars, Roy Garber, is dead at the age of 49. TMZ shared the available details on Jan. 18.

Sadly it seems that Roy Garber died Friday night after suffering a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital after experiencing the heart attack, but he passed away a short time later. His long-time girlfriend confirmed the news.

Apparently the “Shipping Wars” star had been dealing with a heart condition for some time, his family indicated to TMZ. A&E has said that they are “deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family.”

Fans are flocking to social media, particularly the show's Facebook page, to mourn the loss of the beloved television personality. While many note he had a tough personality, it endeared him to viewers nonetheless and many remark that Garber was their favorite.

“Shipping Wars” recently wrapped its fifth season, and Roy Garber was with Arbie's Team Transport. He was noted as one of the country's top earners. It is clear that Garber will be missed by fans of the show, and many note that "Shipping Wars" is going to be hit hard by this loss.
