Roy Garber, one of the stars of A&E’s reality series, “Shipping Wars,” has died of an apparent heart attack, according to a Jan. 18, 2014 Variety report.
Variety notes the show just completed filming its fifth season on Jan. 15.
According to A&E’s “Shipping Wars” website, Garber, who started Arbie’s Team Transport after raising his son, “is one of the top earners in the country.”
His bio notes Garber supported his son, Travis, by “running a small home building and remodeling company.”
According to A&E, Garber also “sometimes heads to the deep waters of the Gulf Coast in pursuit of the largest Shark he can find.”
Starcasm reports, the “Shipping Wars” Facebook page shared a post Saturday night, which reads, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.”
In addition, according to Starcasm one of Garber’s “Shipping Wars” co-stars, Jennifer Brennan, wrote on Facebook, “My deepest condolences go out to Roy’s family. Off camera we really had a unique friendship. He showed me many things over the years in shipping. I’ll miss you friend!!!!! The roads won’t be the same without you.”
