Jazz pop sensation, and former Des Moines resident, Roxi Copland is preparing to record a news studio album, and she is enlisting her fans to help make the album a reality. Copland has spent a year writing songs for the album and is readying for the recording stage, which she has traditionally done just south of Des Moines at Capp Audio Productions in Norwalk. Recording, however, is a costly endeavor, and that is where her fans can help. Copland is not asking the fans for money, though—just votes.
Copland has joined the new social media music platform called Artist Signal. The website supports musicians by giving away $10,000 each month to the member that has the most votes. When Roxi started she was ranked 347th with zero votes. As of 11:32 a.m. today, Copland has climbed to #3 in a field of close to 1000 artists worldwide and racked up 7985 votes.
Copland asks that her fans go to the site and vote for her. The process is simple if you have a Facebook account. Simply click on this link (which can also be found at Copland's website and Facebook event), click "Log in with Facebook" at the top of the page, and then click "Vote". Fans can vote once every hour, and the process is free.
Not only will fans who vote get the satisfaction of helping out one of their favorite artists, they can earn prizes, as well. The more one votes, the bigger the prize. Prizes include things like song downloads, signed lyric sheets, CDs, signed tour posters, and more. Also, Copland has been giving fans other incentives, as well. The artist promised that if she reached #4 she would do a snow angel in a bikini and post the video for her fans to watch (done and done).
So, if you are a Roxi Copland fan, get on your computer and vote! There are 14 days left to put her on top and to put her in the studio that much earlier.
