In an interview with Doris Bigornia, one of the news correspondents of ABS-CBN, aired Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 on TV Patrol, Roxanne Acosta Cabanero, revealed that she was raped and threatened by Vhong Navarro. As you all know, assisted by Lingap Pinoy founding chairman Atty. Virgilio Batalla, Roxanne went to the Pasig Prosecutors Office and filed a case of rape against the It's Showtime host.
Based on her allegation, at around 10:30 p.m. Vhong picked her up, but for some reasons, the actor-TV host became wild and raped her inside the car. Just minutes after reading her revelation, followers of this very controversial case especially the netizens took to their social media accounts and expressed their disappointments, they said Roxanne should explain the tweet of Kean Cipriano congratulating Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro for a successful show at Island Cove Resort in Kawit, Cavite at around 2:20 a.m. of April 25, 2010.
"Just got home from Island Cove, congrats Vice Ganda and Vhong. You guys are the best," Kean tweeted. For some observers, it is impossible for Vhong to pick her up during that night when he was still performing with Kean Cipriano and Vice Ganda at the Island Cove Resort in the evening of April 24, 2010.
Meanwhile, aside from Roxanne Cabanero, who was allegedly raped by Vhong, Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee, two of the accused in the mauling incident happened in Forbeswood Condominium last Jan. 22, also came out and attended the preliminary investigation of the case at the DOJ. Reports said their motion to subpoena the unedited copy of Forbeswood Condo's CCTV was rejected by the DOJ panel.
