Rowlett Eagles blast the Naaman Forest Rangers 69-50

The Rowlett Eagles boys basketball team had a little more competition on Saturday night against the Rangers at Naaman Forest High School. The Eagles won their game 69-50.

The Eagles were in control of this one all night, and at one point even had a 23 point lead — at halftime it was 40-23. The Eagles scoring leader Jeffrey Carroll was on fire once again scoring 29 points, nine rebounds, one block shot, one steal. He is averaging 23.5 a game.

Nathan Hawkins drained 15 points of his own, and Kanard Robinson scored seven points to help the Eagles in their win. The Eagles have outscored their opponents 149-92 in the past two games. The Eagles are now 3-0 in league play, and are 16-2 overall this season.

The Eagles are home against the North Garland Raiders on Wednesday January 8th. The Raiders are 4-8 overall this season coming off a loss to Garland Lakeview Centennial 81-60 on their home court. The Eagles then are on the road to the same Garland Lakeview Centennial Patriots on Jan 11.
