September 6, 2011 – Over 500,000 people are expected to attend the 22nd Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous which will run from Thursday September 15 through Sunday September 18 along the streets of downtown San Bernardino. About 1,700 participants will showcase their classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles, in this weekend hosted for the 15th time by State Bros and that is expected to generate over $40 million dollars for the local economy.
The Stater Bros. "Family" Fun Zone will be located in the heart of the event at Court and "E" Streets in downtown San Bernardino with activities for the whole family to enjoy. This exciting promotional area is free and will feature food sampling, interactive games, and community outreach booths. The Stater Bros. Court Street Stage will host live music throughout the event from a variety of famed artists such as The Fab Four Beatles Tribute Band, Rockabilly favorite Buzz Campbell, and the piano-pumping Neil Morrow.
Stater Bros. is also sponsoring a celebrity autograph session featuring National Hockey League Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille and professional racing and stunt driver Tanner Foust.
