Twitter bird
I often write about the microblogging platform Twitter.com because I believe that Twitter is such a powerful social networking tool.
I’m now on my third three-ring binder of collected Twitter information because I read everything I can about this free online resource.
And I found it of particular interest that Laura Isensee in a July 24th Reuters article titled “Twitter to pitch add-on tools to businesses” said that “the company will work to position the product as a communication network and less of a social network.”
Yes, I thought, that’s exactly it. Twitter is an amazing communication network if used effectively.
Here, then, are my Twitter Examiner.com articles to date to help you use Twitter effectively:

Wonderful reader benefit to round up Twitter articles. I've kept them all, because they're all easy to apply and good to keep. Now I won't have to worry about where I filed them!
Just received an article from Immediate Future (UK) asserting that number of retweets, not number of followers, is the measure of blog performance. Couldn't include the url here; the article is called "Two thirds of brands on Twitter are being ignored."
Thought it would interest you, given all your own work on Twitter.
Thanks and regards,
Susan

Thanks for leaving such a nice comment.
I would agree, even without reading the article, that the number of followers on Twitter has very little to do with the effectiveness of that particular Twitter participant.
And I would also agree that the number of retweets is an indication of the quality of the content being shared. But I'm just not convinced that this is a statistically significant "measure."
