According to the National Lacrosse League website, the Calgary Roughnecks lost 14-13 to the Colorado Mammonth in overtime on Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome in National Lacrosse League action.

John Grant Jr. of Peterborough, Ontario scored the game winning goal for Colorado at 2:09 of the extra quarter from Sean Pollock and Joel Dalgarno.

The mere fact Grant is still playing lacrosse at a high level is remarkable. At age 39, he continues to play at a high level and will go down in history as one of the very best lacrosse players of all time.

It was also an excellent game for Mammoth forward Adam Jones of Owen Sound, Ontario. Jones scored a game high seven goals and eight points.

The Mammoth had a 13-11 fourth quarter lead only to see the Roughnecks battle back to force the extra period session.

With the win, the Mammoth improve to 2-5 while the Roughnecks fall to 2-3.

Calgary's next game will be in Minnesota on Saturday, February 8, with their next home game against the Vancouver Stealth on Saturday, February 15.
