According to the National Lacrosse League website, the Calgary Roughnecks hammered the Vancouver Stealth 20-9 on Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Roughnecks had a fine performance from Shawn Evans of Peterborough, Ontario. Evans, who is now in his third year in Calgary, went into double digits in points as he notched 12 points (four goals and eight assists). Dane Dobbie also had a great game for Calgary offensively as he also scored four goals and added four assists.

The Roughnecks also need to be praised for their outstanding defensive performance as well. Calgary limited Vancouver to only four second half goals.

With the win, the Roughnecks improved to 4-3, and find themselves comfortably in second place in the Western Division. Even though they are three games back of the Edmonton Rush for first place, they are a game and a half up on the third place Colorado Mammoth.

Calgary will next host the Rochester Knighthawks next Saturday.
