According to Bryce Forbes of the Calgary Roughnecks website on Monday, the Calgary Roughnecks drafted transition player Tor Reinholdt from the Langley Thunder with their first pick, sixth overall in the 2013 National Lacrosse League Draft in Toronto, Ontario.
Reinholdt is 23 years of age and played his National Collegiate Athletic Association lacrosse career with Limestone College in South Carolina.
Reinholdt, who is from Port Moody, British Columbia, spent the summer in the Western Lacrosse Association. He played on the same team as Roughnecks star Dane Dobbie.
Also on Monday, the Roughnecks made two trades. The Roughnecks traded forward Jackson Decker to Colorado for the second round pick in the 2014 NLL Draft. Then during the draft, Roughnecks general manager Mike Board traded forward Joe Resetarits and the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NLL Draft from Calgary to Buffalo for the Bandits' second round pick (10th overall) in the 2013 NLL Draft and a second round pick in the 2015 NLL Draft.
The Roughnecks also made a high profile selection with their fnal draft pick on Monday. They selected defender Brendan Ranford, the nephew of former Edmonton Oilers' superstar goaltender Bill Ranford, with the sixth pick, 48th overall.
