The Roughnecks got off to an excellent start as they scored the first eight goals in the contest including six consecutive goals in the first quarter.
Dane Dobbie of Elora, Ontario led the Roughnecks with four goals, four assists and eight points. Curtis Dickson of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia also had a strong game for Calgary with four assists and 11 shots on net.
The Roughnecks seemed to be comfortably in second place heading into the postseason. They are 4.5 games back of the undefeated and division leading Edmonton Rush in the West Division, and are 2.5 games up on the Colorado Mammoth with six more regular season games to be played. This past week, Roughnecks general manager Mike Board decided to do nothing at the National Lacrosse League trade deadline.
The Roughnecks will next play the Minnesota Swarm at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary on Saturday, March 29. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
