According to the National Lacrosse League website, the Calgary Roughnecks got a key home victory at the Scotiabank Saddledome over the Minnesota Swarm on Friday night in National Lacrosse League action.
In a high scoring West Division contest, Roughnecks forward Dane Dobbie of Elora, Ontario had six goals and four assists for ten points in a 19-15 win.
The Roughnecks dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Swarm 9-4.
Roughnecks forward Shawn Evans of Peterborough, Ontario led Calgary with seven assists while transition player Geoff Snider collected a game high 18 loose balls and won 24 of 36 faceoffs.
With the win, the Roughnecks improve to 6-5 on the season, but are still half a game back of the Washington Stealth in the West Division.
The Roughnecks do not play again until Saturday, March 23 because they receive a week 11 bye. In two weeks time, they will host the Colorado Mammoth before having two mammoth back-to-back games with the Washington Stealth.
