Roster for the next gen?

Among buyouts, backdates, and closing rumors, development for the next generation consoles and their opening titles have begun. Sony's new 'Orbis' and Microsoft's 'Durango' have let slip details about certain titles that will undoubtedly augment the anticipation for the new platforms. Some of these titles will even receive E3 mentions but here's some little nuggets of information first.

Bungie and Activision give you 'Destiny.' Set far into humanity's future after colonizing the solar system, 'Destiny' casts the player as one of the Knights who protects the human race from an emerging alien threat. Illustrated by the fact that a second moon has appeared in the sky like a bright herald, creatures are trying to creep into the galactic borders. The setting is in a location called Last City, the Knights of the place tasked with making sure that the threat is eliminated and the bastion is safe once again. Rumor has it that this title is the first in a multi-part series.

Star Wars 1313 sets a new, grittier tone being set on the city planet of Coruscant. The main character is no Jedi or Sith, but instead a bounty hunter trying undercover the truth behind a government conspiracy. The Force and those who use it will not be making much of an appearance in this title and though not confirmed, the protagonist is whispered to be Boba Fett.

And without much surprise, we say hello again to Dragon Age: Inquisition. The map for this third installment spans Ferelden and beyond, a much grander scale than its prior titles. Land size and the all consuming war started in Dragon Age 2 would require the next gen systems to properly represent environments and player moved combat.

Though rumors are aplenty and harden facts just recently affirming, these few titles and more have already been brought to partial life in hopes that the next generations consoles will deliver great games and hours of pownage.
