Ross William Perry comes to Gas Lamp on February 4

Ross William Perry will play a show at Gas Lamp (1501 Grand Avenue, Des Moines) on February 4.  The show is set to start at 8 pm, and the cover charge will be $7.  No opening band has been announced as of yet.  You must be 21 or older to attend this concert.

Ross William Perry plays a unique style of jazz-influenced blues rock that has made him a mainstay on the Midwestern blues scene.  Perry started learning guitar at an extremely young age at his childhood home in Minnesota.  His father owned a night club and bands would often jam at his house.  Perry, not only learned guitar, but he meticulously read up on the blues, checking out book after book from the library during his formative years.  (From Perry's bio by Kevin Sheedy of the Wichita Eagle on Perry's website.)

All of Perry's studies have paid off, as Perry released his 4th album, ...To The Other Side, last year.  Perry has received a slew of positive reviews over the years and has developed a huge following throughout the Midwest.  He comes to Iowa often, and the Gas Lamp show will be the first of four Iowa shows between now and the end of April.  Check out Ross William Perry in action in the adjoining video box, and don't miss what promises to be yet another great night of blues at Gas Lamp.
