A New York Giants employee has turned down the New York Jets GM position.
Giants Director of College Scouting Marc Ross has withdrawn his name from considering for the Jets GM job. It is unclear as to why Ross pulled his name out of the Jets search.
But it is clear that there is something that pushing candidates away from the Jets job. Ross will remain with the Giants and possibly be promoted to GM Jerry Reese's top assistant with Dave Gettleman taking the GM positon with the Carolina Panthers.
Meanwhile, the Jets will continue to search high and low to find a GM that is willing to handle their cap issues. And figure out what they are going to do with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow.
