When Rosie O'Donnell returned to "The View" for the first time since 2007, many waited for at least one claw to come out, but that just didn't happen. Seven years ago O'Donnell left "The View" after a on-air blow-up with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and didn't return until Friday. Rosie being Rosie, she did get it one low-keyed quip about her ex-co-host Hasselbeck, according to The Washington Post on Feb. 7.

For Rosie to show up now makes sense, as she is currently doing some guest spots on an ABC show, so "The View" was a good place to promote her new gig. A woman with definite views, Rosie had some disparaging things to say about Donald Trump, Simon Cowell and a few other well-know names while she was one of the co-hosts on "The View." Many folks agreed with her take on things, but she also polarized others.

Rosie did walk out onto the stage after a down to earth and truthful introduction by Barbara Walters who said, “We had some good times. We had some bad times. But they were never boring." Walters then asked that everyone welcome back Rosie O'Donnell.

The hype around Rosie's appearance on the show before she even got there had many anticipating a blast from the past with some more of those polarized disagreements, but it never happened. Rosie's appearance was almost mundane in comparison to her time as a co-host on the show!
