Rosie O'Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds, welcomed a baby girl into their lives and tweeted about the happy news on Wednesday.
Rosie tweeted the news with a picture of her and Michelle and the new bundle of joy;
"we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota - #withloveandthanks - AMEN http://instagr.am/p/URkSICjmJp/"
Dakota is baby number five for Rosie who has children with her ex, Kelli Carpenter, Vivienne, 10, Blake, 13, Chelsea, 15, and Parker, 17.
The baby was born January 5 and weighed 5 lbs and 5 oz.
Everyone is doing great and is healthy and happy.
Rosie announced in August on her blog that the pair got married in June.
She said that this on her blog;
“we married in private before her surgery just the 2 of us when we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times”
Rosie had a heart attack and Michelle had surgery for desmoids tumors that can be fatal at the beginning of August and they were supposed to wait to get married till Michelle was well enough, but changed their minds and privately had a ceremony with just the two of them.
They became engaged in December of 2011 and fell in love very fast.
Rosie has been staying home and taking care of the kids and working on getting herself and Michelle healthy.
