The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, located near International Drive, is busily celebrating Christmas with its Winter Wonderland Festival. Winter Wonderland started on December 13 and 14 and runs again on December 20 and 21. It's a fun evening of snow, reindeer, train rides, carolers, and even Santa Claus himself. Other activities include face painting, caricatures, a photo booth, and karaoke. You'll even see a snowfall despite the balmy weather.
Click the slideshow accompanying this article, which shows scenes from Winter Wonderland, It also includes photos from the Nutcracker, as scenes from the ballet are performed in the lobby for the first weekend of the event.
If you decide to head over for Winter Wonderland, it runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night. You'll need to purchase tickets for some of the activities, and refreshments are also available.
When I visited the Winter Wonderland Festival, I got a photo with Santa, rode the train, and enjoyed hot cocoa. Then I stopped by the Rosen Reindeer pen and finished up by enjoying the karaoke and the carolers, as well as the characters strolling around.
