The "Roseanne" show is celebrating there 25th TV anniversary, and continues to air and remain a fan favorite throughout the world in syndication on numerous networks according to Friday, October 18 reports from the Huffington Post.
The idea for the "Roseanne" sitcom was originally developed by comedienne Roseanne Barr and told the hilarious story of the blue collar hard working Conner family's struggles with the normal everyday-to day issues of raising a family in Illinois.
The "Roseanne " show beginning airing on ABC on October 18,1988 and ran for nine seasons to it's final show on May 20, 1997 listed in the top twenty TV shows for all eight seasons.
The show tackled many a daily family subject with humor touching on everything from including poverty, alcoholism, drug abuse, menstruation, birth control, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, infidelity, and gay rights.
"Roseanne" starred Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Michael Fishman, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke as the Conner family.
Reruns of"Roseanne can be seen nightly on cable networks such as TBS,Nick At Nite, and the Oxygen channels to name on a few.
