Roseanne Barr to get new TV series

According to the New York Post, plans are set in motion to have comedienne Roseanne Barr host a new ‘Investigation Discovery’ series, ‘Momsters: When Moms Go Bad.’

Just think of past and current news stories about women like Wanda Holloway. She was branded the “Texas Cheerleader Mom’ because she tried to hire a hitman to murder the mother of her daughter’s cheer-leading rival or the mom who threaten the life of her son’s little league coach.

Expect host Roseanne Barr to give her unique commentary while recounting various “helicopter mom” stories.

So what are “helicopter moms” exactly? It is a metaphor given for parents (usually mothers) who hover over their children like helicopters. They pay strict attention to the child’s experiences and problems and sometimes take extreme measures to rectify them.

On April 15, Bar can be seen in the PBS series ‘Pioneers of Television’ discussing her journey from stand-up comedienne to the star of one television’s most groundbreaking series ‘Roseanne.’

‘Momsters: When Moms Go Bad’ is set to premiere later this year.
