When one refers to the "ale house" in the Greater New Bedford area, one place comes to mind: Rose Alley. Open 7 days a week and located at 94 Front Street (right next to Cork), Rose Alley Ale House is the perfect place for the young and old (and of legal drinking age, of course!).
For starters, their beer "menu" is huge! The Rose Alley website states that, "We pride ourselves on our MASSIVE beer selection and 'Earth's best wings.'" To prove it, they have 28 kinds of beer on draft, 38 draft lines (20 upstairs, 18 downstairs) and a variety of specialty microbrews found in the area.
If that wasn't extensive enough, check out their food menu. From appetizers, to burgers, to their noteworthy buffalo wings in 12 flavors, Rose Alley has it all. Try this: a cup or bowl of their delicious clam chowder with wings or tenders in their Tennessee Bourbon sauce. It is to DIE for!
Local acts such as the J. Kelley Band, the Chris Cartier Band and Jimmy D. have played at Rose Alley recently, with acts playing occasionally between the Thursday to Saturday nights.
In all, Rose Alley Ale House is a destination not to be missed. Located right near Route 18, the "ale house" is the place to go to for superior quality food, specialty beers and good company.
