Rosario Dawson joins Ryan Reynolds in 'Queen of the Night'

Variety reported yesterday that Rosario Dawson (“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”) will be joining a pretty awesome cast in the upcoming thriller “Queen of the Night.”

Directed by Atom Egoyan, the film stars Ryan Reynolds (“Smokin’ Aces”) as a father of an abducted child who is convinced his daughter is still alive; Dawson will play the detective in charge of the investigation.

While this isn't an action role Reynolds has shown in the past an ability to really dominate dramatic material, and I can’t wait to see the chemistry him and Dawson have together.

The film also stars Scott Speedman (“Underworld”) who, I’m guessing, will end up being the villain in the film.

Filming is said to begin in February, and depending on the action scenes could be ready as early as this fall.
