The game director compared the height of Rosalina to Mario and Princess Peach. Despite being tall, however, the new fighter is described as a light-class character as she has an anti-gravity ability. You can check out the comparison, along with several other shots from “Super Smash Bros. 4,” in the slideshow to the left of this article and the statement from Masahiro Sakurai below (courtesy of Mii Gamer):

Rosalina's got height! She is seriously tall! However, she boasts an anti-gravity effect, so she's very light.

Being light-weight gives Rosalina several advantages. She can be suspended on the air much longer when compared to the heavier characters in addition to potentially having better maneuverability. On the other hand, the female character may be easier to knock off the stage.

Rosalina was the latest fighter to be confirmed for the fourth main entry of the “Super Smash Bros.” series. She uses Luma to help attack her opponents. The tandem originated from the “Super Mario Galaxy” franchise.

“Super Smash Bros. 4” is currently in development at the Namco Bandai Games and Sora studios for the Nintendo Wii U console and Nintendo 3DS portable system. The crossover fighting title is due to come out in the next year for North America and other territories.
