Who would have thought these four words would describe ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ actress Rooney Mara? Even though she has turned up the level of sophistication, Mara has shown us that her red carpet style is not that far removed from that of her onscreen character. Her red carpet style is consistently daring, bold and non-conformist.
“It” red carpet fashionista Mara has captured the hearts of red carpet fashion lovers all over. With her porcelain skin, severe haircut and perfectly toned body, the actress can get away with wearing pretty much anything.
A penchance for dark minimalist looks, including see through styles and structured cut-out pieces allowed Mara to consistently hit all the fashion high notes throughout her movie press tour.
Rooney Mara has done it again. For her first major red carpet awards show, fashion favorite Mara chose a black Nina Ricci gown. Mara is nominated in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama category for her role in ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.’
Whether she is rocking Givenchy couture, Miu Miu, Dion Lee or Valentino, Mara’s stylist knows exactly what works for this fashionista. Bold risk taking is nothing new to Mara. With all eyes on this budding ‘risk-taking’ fashionista, she is definitely one fashionista to watch in 2012. While we love her black ensembles, we are hoping for a little more color this year.
