Roommate arrested after all-day argument ends in gunfire in Fulton County

An all-day argument between two roommates ended in gunfire with one man dead and the other in police custody early Monday morning in Fulton County.

Investigators said they have charged the 29-year-old suspect with murder, but so far they have not released his name.

The 30-year-old victim’s name was being withheld until his family is notified, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The shooting happened around 4 a.m. at 4837 Miller Road off Roosevelt Highway, according to Fulton County police.

“The two roommates had been arguing all day when one roommate, a 29-year-old, pulled out a gun and shot the other,” spokeswoman Detective Melissa Parker said.

Another person in the house called 911 and the suspected shooter was arrested at the scene, Det. Parker said.

The victim was already dead when officers arrived, she said. It’s unclear if he was shot more than once and police have not released any details on where he was shot.
