Accommodations: Guest rooms here are in excellent condition although they are being totally overhauled with fresh carpeting, fabrics, and sitting areas. Cable TVs are switching to newer flat-screen models, and older desk chairs are being replaced with ergonomic pivoting chairs. Pillowtop beds are covered with light duvets and stacks of thick pillows. Coffeemakers, full-length mirrors, and ample closet space are nice extras. The offering of free high speed wireless Internet is highly appreciated adding to the value of staying here. Rooms at each end of the building have balconies overlooking the city’s skyline and cathedral. Baths have been refreshed with new paint, curved shower rods, Bath & Body Works toiletries, and large towels. Renovations are slated to last until spring 2012, but are being carried out floor by floor to minimize disruption.
