Arrival Experience: Connected to the airport terminal via walkway and located within the iconic The Squaire building, this property is just as easy to reach as the Airport Sheraton, which has held dominance here (charging astronomical rates) until Hilton's arrival. Being part of the airport complex not only provides convenience, but also the assurance that visitors never need to worry about traffic. Convenient trains head into the city center from just below the hotel on a regular, all-day schedule. The welcome that comes after traversing the short journey through the airport train station is comforting. Staff insures that travelers are happily assisted. Often, guests arrive before check in time, and the staff does their best to check people in as soon as possible, a huge perk for an airport hotel.

Dining: One might think that being connected to one of the world's busiest airports may spell disaster for a hotel's food and beverage outlets. But, this property does a solid business with its full-service restaurant aptly named Rise offering an impressive breakfast buffet and lobby restaurant with lounge-style cuisine for the remainder of the day. The Fifth lounge and bar in the lobby bustles throughout the day with its own light menu and drinks that shift from coffee in the morning hours to more potent cocktails when the sun sets. The glass ceiling of the hotel's lobby makes happy hour time pretty clear. Room service is available 24 hours as one might expect at such a bustling airport.

Accommodations: Glass elevators climb the side of the building's interior to reach guest rooms that face either the interior atrium or the surrounding forest and highway. All views are incredibly soundproofed with double-glassed windows searing out any type of sound. Interior noise is also insulated, and housekeeping is surprisingly good at heeding guest arrival times. The beds in all rooms are topped with Hilton's signature mattress cover providing pillowtop comfort and duvet-supplemented sweet slumber. Bathrooms offer showers with rain-drenching supply and Peter Thomas Roth brand toiletries. Robes, slippers, and soaking tubs are part of the offering in many club floor and suite units. Wireless high speed Internet access is not free, but for travelers that are Hilton HHonors Gold and above, there is no charge. The executive club floor rooms enjoy turndown service, late checkout, and access to an atrium-view private lounge for continental breakfast, all-day coffee and soft drinks, and evening cocktails and snacks.

Conclusion: This is a fantastic alternative to the far-overpriced Sheraton, and the connected Hilton Garden Inn provides even more savings. With a top-floor workout area and steam room and sauna, this is the full package at a more affordable price. Ten meeting rooms cater to as many as 570 conferees, and the meeting business at this modern hotel is constant thanks to the high-tech audiovisual equipment, excellent location, and spacious conference rooms. Nothing beats new versus old, and the Hilton offers a fresher package at more refreshing rates than the Sheraton at Frankfurt airport.
