Arrival Experience: This is the only hotel in Lima that takes less than a minute to reach. You simply walk across the airport entrance and into the hotel's inviting lobby. No shuttles to wait for and no traffic to slow you down. Reception was quick to help arrivals, which can often all show up at one time when a flight arrives or airline delay sends passengers seeking shelter. During my visit, some minor construction was going on in the lobby, but there was no work taking place during the evening hours and noise was minimal during the day. The lobby has some small conversation seating areas and a separate concierge desk.
Dining: The hotel has one restaurant serving up three meals a day. While most guests are in and out here, people can dine here while waiting to pick up a loved one or before saying goodbye. The restaurant menu is available 24 hours a day. Also in the lobby is a bar and lounge that can get busy some evenings depending how full the hotel is.
Accommodations: Guest rooms are bright, modern, and comfortable. Airport noise is absolutely nil, which is excellent for napping. The beds are firm with puffy duvets and large pillows. Bedside alarm clocks allow for charging smart phones, which is great for those who like to set their own alarm. Desks are spacious and feature complimentary wireless high speed Internet. The flat-screen cable TVs get numerous English speaking channels, and a coffeemaker is a great way to perk up before or after a long flight. Bathrooms are large with powerful showers and excellent lighting. The shower-tub combinations have a ledge to stack towels up as a pillow.
Conclusion: Most flights from the U.S. arrive Lima late at night, which makes some people uncomfortable to take a car around midnight into town. Staying here for a night is a great alternative for passengers to go right to sleep and wake up refreshed for a day on the town. Not to mention that the rates here are much cheaper than in town, which can save a little bit of money if arriving too late to enjoy a downtown hotel's facilities. Here, an indoor swimming pool and spa stay open at all hours for some relaxation or exercise. Meeting space is popular with business folk who want to fly in, get some work done, and leave in a jiffy. This is Lima airport's best and most convenient hotel and is a strong contender for those who need not to be in the heart of town.
