Arrival Experience: With a 24-hour free shuttle, no one is left behind at the Best Western Airport Inn, and comped transportation within a mile's radius of the hotel is also a great perk. The shuttle will also take guests to the light rail station for those that want to head into town. Its red-roofed, colonial style entrance is a cheerful first impression to this two-story hotel, which is larger than it looks. The lobby has sofa seating areas and a friendly staff that speaks numerous languages. Like all Best Westerns worldwide, the hotel is individually owned. Off the lobby are numerous meeting rooms for group functions of up to 130, which take place with local groups and those using the hotel for a conference.

Dining: Rodehouse restaurant serves three meals a day with a classic American menu. Breakfast is not included in the rates, but features a lengthy menu of omelets, pancakes, and other tasty morning meals. Throughout the day, its affordable menu is a great option with those sticking around the hotel for business. Some locals even pop in as the restaurant has a side entrance from the hotel. The shuttle is another option for those that see a restaurant they want to try in the area.

Accommodations: Guest rooms here are clean, modern, and comfortable. Bedding features thick duvets atop soft mattresses with four pillows for a sweet slumber. Flat-screen cable TVs sit atop armoires facing the bed, and like many other Best Western hotels, the remote controls are sanitized in clever packaging for each new guest arrival. Work desks have lots of power outlets and free wireless high speed Internet. Power outlets are also easily accessible on each nightstand, and armchairs face the TVs for perfect viewing. Ground floor rooms have sliding glass doors to the outside, which some guests may not prefer given that they look out toward the parking lot. However, double blackout curtains keep the light at bay. Bathrooms have vanity areas with hair dryers; showers and toilet in a separate space. Both feature eco-friendly toiletries mounted on the wall. Institute Swiss soap is also a nice touch as are coffeemakers.

Conclusion: Although breakfast is not included, guests can help them selves to complimentary coffee, bananas, and sandwich crackers anytime from 3am to Noon. Recreation comes in the form of an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, and all-hours fitness center. The lobby boasts a small business center with free Internet-equipped computers and printers. Nonsmokers will appreciate that the entire property bans cigarette use. Other features include laundry facilities, free parking, and a lobby microwave that guests can use. This value-focused property deserves more attention than it gets. As an airport hotel, it is extremely close and airplane noise is minimal making it a great option for an overnight stay by the runway.
