Jeff Tuel, rookie quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, was interviewed by Eric Davis and Mark Kriegel of the NFL Network about the possibility that he will be starting at quarterback for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The discussion during the NFL Network interview on Monday, Sept. 2 turned to the fact that if Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone starts Tuel at quarterback on Sunday, he will be the first undrafted, free agent rookie quarterback to start week one since the 1960s.
Following Jeff Tuel’s interview on the NFL Network, a tweet came from the Buffalo Bills regarding a rookie quarterback starting on Sunday:
“Marrone on possibly starting a rookie at QB: ‘These two guys are pretty darn good.’”
The NFL Network reports that Doug Marrone will make his decision on who will be the starting quarterback for Sunday’s game on Wednesday. The Buffalo Bills will host the New England Patriots in their season opener at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.
The Buffalo Bills season opener has been sold out for months and can be seen on CBS starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8.
