Ronnie Wood has sent his personal well wishes to fans in his own holiday season video after being omitted from The Rolling Stones video, which was posted yesterday and featured only Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
Posting to his official website at RonnieWood.com on Dec. 23, the affable Stones guitarist thanked fans for a great year with The Stones and for their support in his various solo projects.
Decked out in a double breasted jacket and a yuletide scarf, the veteran rocker wished fans seasons greetings, "Hello to you all. This is my little Christmas message to thank you all for my support this year - for a great Stones year I 've had - for a fabulous solo year - Jimmy Reed - a few gigs I've had and...umm... thank-you. So everybody have a really Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
Fans can check out the video at RonnieWood.com.
Unlike last year, both Wood and Stones drummer Charlie Watts were left out of the "Satisfaction" hitmakers' annual holiday season video for undisclosed reasons.
The ex-Faces/Jeff Beck star spent a good portion of 2013 on the road with The Stones hugely successful AEG Live produced 50 and Counting Tour and also kept busy with his award winning weekly radio program, "The Ronnie Wood Show," as well as creating and staging his latest art exhibition "Ronnie Wood: Raw Instinct" and making a number of solo appearances with ex-Stone Mick Taylor as part of a tribute to the late bluesman Jimmy Reed.
Wood will rejoin The Stones when they begin their 2014 Asia Pacific tour leg - dubbed "14 on Fire" - which kicks off Feb. 21, 2014 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates at du Arena.
Did you know? Ronnie Wood's ex-bandmate Rod Stewart recently said The Faces will reunite for a tour in 2015.
