According to an article posted July 4 at BBC.co.uk, the Rolling Stones guitarist won “Specialist Programme of the Year” for “The Ronnie Wood Show" at a star-studded ceremony at London’s Westminster Bridge Park Plaza Hotel.
The one-hour radio show, which debuted on Absolute Radio in the U.K. in 2010 and began airing weekends last year in Canada and the U.S. on Premier Networks, has previously won for "Best Newcomer," and "Specialist Programme of the Year," as well as "Music Radio Personality of the Year.”
The 1 hour show features the veteran rocker playing cuts by artists he has worked with, personal favourites as well as sharing stories from his legendary music career as guitarist for The Stones, The Jeff Beck Group, and The Faces and interviews with Wood’s rock star friends.

The veteran rocker recently finished a historic headline peformance with The Stones at Glastonbury, and will join the band for the first of two shows on July 6 in London’s Hyde Park.
