UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey provided MMA fans with another spectacular win at UFC 175 needing only 16 seconds to defeat challenger, Alexis Davis last night in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight started quickly as both women charged to the center of the Octagon. After trading a few shots, Rousey landed a solid shot that shocked Davis. Rousey quickly followed up with a knee and a beautiful hip toss which landed her in side position.

From there, the fight was essentially over. Rousey fired off seven unanswered shots until referee Yves Lavigne finally pulled Rousey off to signal the end of the fight. It was an amazing performance from Rousey. And, while many people thought Rousey would win the fight, no one thought it would be so quick or violent.

At this point, there is no question that Rousey has little left to prove in UFC. She has dominated every challenger. Her last two fights have lasted a combined 1 minute and 22 seconds. It is a scary thought when you consider she is getting better with every fight. With the Sara McMann fight from UFC 170, Rousey wanted to end it with a knee and did. In her fight from UFC 175 against Davis, her striking was vastly improved. She timed her punches well, and when combined with her world class judo, she becomes as dominant a champion that the UFC has ever seen.

She indicated during the post fight press conference that she needs to take some time off for a undisclosed knee injury and a nasty gash on her hand that required stitches. We will likely see her at the UFC event for New Year's weekend. Whoever challenges her has a huge test to undertake.
