Ronda Rousey hopes Liz Carmouche receives the opportunity to coach TUF 20

According to a Dec. 19 post from MMA Fighting, UFC bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey hopes Liz Carmouche receives the opportunity to coach TUF 20.

"Liz Carmouche is a really cool chick and she says she wants to do it, so I totally support her doing if that's what she wants," Rousey said. "The 115-pound girls, man, they're badasses, there are bound to be some problems as they go along. ... It's really encouraging that they're adding them, it shows that what we've done has made a difference."

Carmouche recently took to Twitter to ask UFC officials for the chance to coach one of the teams competing on TUF 20, and Rousey supports her efforts.

"#lizbos & #lizbros I think you should tell @danawhite how you'd watch #TUF20 if I was coaching," Carmouche tweeted.

Carmouche's past social media campaigns helped her land a spot on the UFC roster, and also earned her a title fight against Ronda Rousey.

She has had a ton of success with social media, so her strategy to land a coaching spot on TUF 20 might actually work.

Carmouche doesn't seem to be phased by Ronda Rousey's experience on the show.

"The experience sucked," Rousey said of TUF 18. "It wasn't the perception. Yeah, they needed a villain and they made me fit the role and that's fine. I wasn't purposely going out of my way on the set to make these things happen. In hindsight it was a s--- experience and it came out terrible for me. We were really mistreated and disrespected by the whole production staff. And everybody was going out of their way to get the most dramatic response possible."

Rousey said her coaches weren't paid for their efforts until half the season was over.

"In the middle of the show, they had already been there for three weeks," Rousey said. "They hadn't even paid my coaches, then suddenly they came up to us and said we need to go through background checks. In the middle of the show. They were like this is normal procedure. It's normal procedure for you to not pay people do to the show? And then you do background checks after three weeks? What the f--- is going on? F--- the background checks, we're not doing it."

Coaches for TUF 20 haven't yet been announced, but Carmouche is one of the few fighters out there who has been actively campaigning for a coaching spot on the show.
