Ronald Dunlap, 'Cheer Perfection' arrested for drug possession & paraphernalia

Another TV reality star from “Cheer Perfection” has been arrested. The Arkansas Online reports that this time Ronald Dunlap has been charged with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia.


According to police reports, at 12:29 a.m. on January 15, 2014, a police officer approached a Honda Civic parked across the street from the house 9811 on Miller Road. Ronald and Ryan Dahl began exiting the car when the officer approached, but were told to return to the car. When the officer detected the strong scent of marijuana, and noted Ronald's bloodshot eyes, the officer asked if they had any marijuana in the car. Ronald turned over two partially smoked roaches or marijuana cigarettes.

The officer searched the car and found a glass pipe and several small packages, which contained a “green substance” inside. Both men were arrested and taken to the Sherwood Police department.

Kevin Knight, spokesperson for the Cheer Time Revolution issued this statement, “Ronald Dunlap is not an owner of the gym. Ronald Dunlap is an employee of the gym. Mr. Dunlap is currently on a suspension pending the outcome of the misdemeanor charges. Upon the outcome Mr. Dunlap's continued employment will be determined. The other mentioned party [Dahl] is not nor has been an employee of the gym. Cheer Time Revolution has a zero tolerance policy and our staff is fully investigated as well as randomly checked for illegal usage. The athletes safety is always first and foremost.”

Ryan have the same charges against him, along with driving with a suspended license and traffic infractions.

This is the second arrest for reality TV stars of "Cheer Perfection" On Jan. 14, 2014, Andrea Clevenger was arrested for allegedly raping a 13-year-old boy.

The fate of this show may not survive these two arrests. TLC has not announced if it will renew "Cheer Perfection" for another season. Stay tuned for more details on the legal side of this matter and whether the show will return.
