A Campaign for Liberty (C4L) email by Ron Paul Tuesday outlines the potential seriousness of the establishment's current gun-grab agenda.
America's most popular libertarian and the father of the modern Tea Party movement, former Texas Rep. Ron Paul, has come forward to express serious concern about the nature of, what's sold as, a “liberal” agenda, but with the help of members from both sides of the congressional aisle.
In the e-mail, sent out to all C4L subscribers, Paul warned that “this fight is going to happen fast” and that “the statists are determined to strike while anti-gun hysteria across the US is at full-blast.”
Taking over the role as chairman of Campaign for Liberty after retiring from Congress just weeks ago, Paul now heads the non-profit that aims to protect “individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets and a non-interventionist foreign policy,” according to its website.
In addition to the more commonly known ideals championed while on the 2012 presidential campaign trail, Paul warned in the email that disarmed countries are not safer countries, as gun control activists have continuously argued.
According to the noted champion of the constitution, “Countries where only those in power are armed – supposedly for the civilian population’s “protection” – are cesspools of violence!” ...Potentially looking to Chicago's skyrocketing crime rates as a perfect example.
He added that Obama’s gun restriction proposals develop an “assault on our gun rights” and chastised the proposed gun ban by Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
But the toughest words used by C4L's Chairman however were directed toward the mandatory background checks for gun purchases. An idea he considers to be a “thinly veiled national gun registration scheme” and one that is historically shown to always lead toward an eventual total gun ban.
“After all, you and I both know registration is the first step toward outright confiscation,” he exclaimed.
He went on to urge Americans to donate to Campaign for Liberty and sign the Liberty Protection Directive, kicked off just days ago, so as to help fight against globalist gun control zealots and others who may have no idea just how important America's 2nd Amendment rights truly are.
“Seeing 'the statists’ frantic rush to increase government power and further restrict our freedoms,” he stressed, ”I have to wonder if our gun rights are the last thread holding our republic together.”
Hoping people are still able to learn from the past and how tyranny has almost always developed he asked, “what might they do once they have nothing but disarmed victims in their sights? World history brings to mind some horrific possibilities.”
