Ron Paul supporters claim Nevada vote fraud; watching Colorado closely

Nevada, what a place.  Our minds think of gambling, prostitution, and The Godfather part II.  Most of the action in the Silver State takes place in Clark County, home to Las Vegas and 60% of the voting bloc.  It is also home to where all the mayhem occurred on Saturday.

Ron Paul has seemingly doubled, if not quadrupled, his vote in every caucus or primary in 2012 compared to 2008 - except for Nevada.

Iowa 2008:  11,800
Iowa 2012:  26,000

New Hampshire 2008:  18,000
New Hampshire 2012:  56,000

South Carolina 2008:  16,000
South Carolina 2012:  78,000

Florida 2008:  62,000
Florida 2012:  117,410

Nevada 2008:  6,087
Nevada 2012:  6,175

What is going on within the GOP?

Iowa was proclaimed a sure victory for Ron Paul, with many polls or samplings showing him going into the caucus with a strong support, base and lead.  Yet, seemingly, Ron Paul quickly slipped to second and then third as the votes unwound in the undisclosed location to protect from Occupy Protestors.  Whatever happened to them?

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire

Matthew N. Strawm, Chairman of the Iowa GOP, announced he would be stepping down late January after the confusion in the vote counting.  Thanks to the loyal readers of these articles who helped blow the lid off of the discrepancy with cold hard facts that forced the State to ‘rexamine’ its totals.

Then came Nevada where essentially Ron Paul’s vote between the past four years did not change, defying the previous caucuses and primaries for 2012, and like Iowa the vote took days, not hours, to finish counting.

All politico had their eyes fixed on Clark County and the results.  However, after only 13% of the county was reported, the tallying seemingly stopped for over 24 hours.

County Republican officials were unwarranted to release the numbers from the precinct counts until each ballot was certified.  Certified not only by hand but in another location.

“We are going to get this right,” Clark County Chairman David Gibbs told the Las Vegas Sun.  “If it takes us a little bit of time to get it rights, we are going to take the time.”

With just half of the vote counted, officials started to discover some 'discrepancies' and in some precincts the number of ballots did not match the number of voters who signed in to participate.

Keep going down the rabbit hole:

Amy Tarkanian, the GOP chairwoman for Nevada, resigned 34 hours after the caucus. Watch The Vote, an independent vote verification organization, was able to force a thorn into the establishment’s side in Iowa using cell-phone pictures of the precinct vote tallies and then finding discrepancies with the official count.  Nevada, however, simply refused to release the vote counts taken at the caucus locations.

In a caucus, vote counting is done by hand, in view of the public at the precinct and tallied.  To disregard these results and then send all the ballots to a select group to recount in an undisclosed location should be a red herring for any sensible America.

What can you do?

Even if you’re not a Ron Paul supporter and favor lets say Newt Gingrich or even Mitt Romney, there should be nothing to worry with demanding an open air public recount of the votes by signing a petition started by Ron Paul supporters.

Regardless of your support it should be common knowledge and practice to always count and tally votes within the eyes of the public.  Albeit you may not be one for ‘theories’ or easily aroused by the claims of fraud – yet a simple change to these procedures through awakening the public with means besides Cable News, where coverage of the GOP Chair’s resignations has been mute and also poorly reported is testimony of ballots being driven into gated communities en route to the undisclosed location and videos of Ron Paul supporters being turned away should force anyone to ask:

What is going on?
