Former super successful talk show host Phil Donahue appeared on last night's Piers Morgan show and I think the last thing most people expected out of the conversation was props to Ron Paul. The conversation turned to politics and Donahue spent his time solely on Ron Paul's wise foreign policy views and against Santorum's march to war attitude.
Ron Paul's foreign policy is not isolationist as is often touted by bobble-heads on television, however it is non-interventionist with a strong stance of free trade. Donahue was fully on board with Paul's views on the issue and questioned how the Republican Party had gone so far off course from the Constitution which Ron Paul espouses.
It is hard to tell if such an endorsement of Paul's foreign policy by a celebrity often seen on the far left helps or hurts Paul in the upcoming primaries. Time will tell if it has any effect, however it is getting quite the buzz online.
