Ron Paul and the bizarre

In a March 5th appearance on the Alex Jones radio show, Congressman Ron Paul was discussing Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's remarks that Ron Paul's allegations were "absolutely bizarre"

Ron Paul while questioning Bernanke in February, said "It has been reported in the past that in the 1980s, the Fed facilitated a $5.5 billion to Saddam Hussein and he then bought weapons from our military industrial complex..."  to which Bernanke replied  "Well, congressman, these specific allegations you've made, I think are absolutely bizarre and I have absolutely no knowledge of anything like what you've just described,"  [See 3:20 in the video here].

In the March 5th interview with Jones, Congressman Paul expressed his offense at being written off and called bizarre by Bernanke: "...He used the word bizarre, so he was accusing me of being bizarre, which means anybody who agrees with my concerns are considered bizzare as well ... to call this bizarre is off the wall.. to just write us off and say I've never heard of...". Paul goes on to explain that he has concerns which should be investigated.

Yet Paul himself has derided others concerns regarding the government as "preposterous and bizarre" while chatting with establishment mouthpiece Glenn Beck. On December 18, 2007,  Ron Paul said 9/11 conspiracies are "PREPOSTEROUS" and "bizarre". CNN's Glenn Beck also mentions Rosie O'Donnell and Charlie Sheen. Paul says that he shouldn't even have to answer questions like that. At Minute 3. Many of Paul's supporters are advocates of a new 9/11 investigation and contend that the U.S. government had a part in the attack.

Lets see you get re-elected going on TV accusing Israel of controling our government and staging terror attacks. You might as well condem him for not leading some kind of armed march on washington to dispose our leaders. If our government is so criminal, and so many people know it, whats stoping all you egoists from not paying your income tax, and forcefully taking your government back yourself? Dont think you can pull it off without keeping your undies clean? well at that rate your never going to get your country back

Great reporting, Martin. I get the same fascist propagandists like "CaptainObvious" as usually the first two comments on my articles.

Dr. Paul's approval rating in his congressional district is 84%, BTW.

When you listen to the Beck interview with Paul that you link to, Ron Paul does not call 9/11 conspiracy theories in general "bizarre", he is merely answering to specific points. Glenn Beck, in his attempt to further demonize "conspiracy nuts" hand picked some of the less credible theories and specifically asked Dr. Paul about those... "remote controlled" airplanes and "missiles" hitting the tower.

This has nothing to do with questioning government involvement or prescience about the event and whether they could've stopped it. So, no, Ron Paul is not using the same tactics as Ben Bernanke. Nice try, though.

Ron Paul had his chance in the televised presidential debate when asked about RP's supporters' beliefs concerning 9/11, Ron Paul said he supported the official story. Coward or stupid? You decide. But continuing to cling to RP as some sort of savior is misplaced idol worship: the cult of personality. This is what happens when people put loyalty to a political figure ahead of the principles that this figure supposedly represents.

DON'T FORGET THAT BERNANKE IS A KHAZAR JEW,IT'S OK FOR THE CHOSEN OF SATAN TO LIE,YOU ARE STUPID GOY,WE ARE THE SYNAGOGUE OF OUR FATHER(SATAN),REVELATION 2:9,3:9, Our race is the Master Race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet and serve us as our slaves."
