Ron Fusselman, Coffee D'Vine owner, has decided to step away from his candidacy for the District 17 Senate race. He has decides to bow out citing his support for Republican Candidate Jim Banks, a city councilman from Columbia City.
Mr. Fusselman had this to say about his decision for the change. "I started this journey to become your State Senator with the hopes and aspirations of bringing true conservative change to the General Assembly. Over time, I have come to recognize that the race to replace Senator Dillon has two true grass roots, conservative candidates. Therefore, my talents and resources could be more effectively put to use challenging a State Representative in Dan Leonard that does not hold the same conservative values and is beholden to special interest groups. So today, I am announcing I will be amending my campaign to reflect my withdrawal from the State Senate race and focus on challenging State Representative Dan Leonard for the Republican nomination for State Representative, District 50.”
Upon the announcement, Mr. Banks said "I welcome Ron's decision and wish him luck in his future political endeavors.” Mr. Fusselman said he recognizes Mr. Banks' Conservative values, and puts his support behind Mr. Banks.
