The Rolling Stones have postponed the March 19 opening date of the Australian wing of their 2014 “14 On Fire” tour following the apparent suicide of Mick Jagger's girlfriend, designer L'Wren Scott, according to separate statements issued March 18 by the group and tour promoter Frontier Touring and Concerts.

The Stones' statement read, “The Rolling Stones concert in Perth will not be going ahead as scheduled for Wednesday 19 March 2014. No further information is available at this time, ticket holders are asked to hold on to their tickets until a further update is available. Ticket holders can check back here, at, for official updates.” The promoter's statement added their website, Facebook and Twitter links as sources for information.

Scott was found dead after an apparent suicide March 17. Billboard reported there were unconfirmed stories that Jagger had flown back to the United States.

According to Billboard, Scott was the designer for Jagger's costume during the group's 50th anniversary tour. They had reportedly been dating for over a decade, with CNN reporting they'd been together since 2003 while Billboard saying it had been since 2001.

Among the tributes to Scott was a tweet from Bianca Jagger, Mick Jagger's first wife. “Heartbroken to learn of the loss of the lovely and talented L'Wren Scott. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May she rest in peace.”

Also, tweeting was Bette Midler. “Just got news of the beautiful L'wren Scott's death perhaps by her own hand. I am devastated. A rare, wonderful, talented soul. Goodbye.”
