On July 13, 2013, the Rolling Stones returned to Hyde Park in London, exactly one week after they had played at Hyde Park for the first time since 1969. According to an announcement on the official Rolling Stones website, about 65,000 people attended the concert on July 13, 2013. It was the Stones' third and final show in the U.K. on their "50 and Counting" tour of 2013.

The Rolling Stones also performed at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29, 2013, and at Hyde Park on July 6, 2013. The Hyde Park concerts sold out the same day each concert went on sale. The Glastonbury Festival was sold out months before the Stones were announced as performers at the festival.

The Hyde Park concerts are the last concerts announced so far on the Rolling Stones' "50 and Counting" tour of 2013, but there is speculation that more tour dates will be announced.

The tour went to the U.S. and Canada in May and June 2013 before heading to England for the shows at the Glastonbury Festival and Hyde Park.

AEG Live is the promoter of the Rolling Stones' 2013 tour, which is named "50 and Counting" in honor of the band's 50th anniversary. Mick Taylor, who was the Rolling Stones' lead guitarist from 1969 to 1974, is a guest on all of the tour dates.

Taylor's first-ever live show with the Rolling Stones was a free concert at Hyde Park on July 5, 1969. The attendance at the show was an estimated 250,000 to 500,000 people. The show was filmed by Granada Television and released on home video under the title "Stones in the Park." The Stones' 1969 concert at Hyde Park was also a tribute to the late Brian Jones, who died on July 3, 1969, less than one month after he had been fired by the band. (Jones was found dead in his swimming pool, and his death was officially ruled an accidental drowning, but many people believe that Jones was the victim of murder or manslaughter.)

At every concert on the "50 and Counting" tour, Rolling Stones guitarist has been singing lead vocals on two of these three songs: "Happy," "You Got the Silver" and "Before They Make Me Run."

The Rolling Stones' "50 and Counting" tour has gotten mostly positive reviews from critics and fans. And even though some fans complained about the prices of the tour's concert tickets, the tour has played in venues that were packed to capacity.
