The Rolling Stones' hugely successful 50 and Counting Tour continues to set new milestones for the legendary British rockers with the live album from the tour landing the band their 50th album entry on the Billboard 200.
According to an article posted Aug. 1 at Billboard.com, “The World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band’s” new release "Hyde Park Live," which topped the charts in 11 countries on iTunes last week, debuted on the Billboard 200 Top 20 at No. 19.
The chart debut marks the "Satisfaction" hitmakers 45th Top 40 chart entry on the chart, adding to its record as the band with the most Top 40 hits in history, putting them well ahead of The Beatles, who rank second with 39.
Released exclusively on iTunes, the live set topped iTunes charts in Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland last week.
Following on the heels of their massively successful AEG Live produced "50 and Counting" tour of North America, which recently topped Pollstar’s mid-year Top 100 North American tours chart, The Rolling Stones performed the sold out Hyde Park shows at the end of their European leg.
“Hyde Park Live” contains 19-tracks and is available for a limited time on iTunes from July 22 – August 19.
