Rolling Stones' 'Honky Tonk Women' song gets Grammy Hall of Fame induction

The Rolling Stones' 1969 hit single "Honky Tonk Women" is getting inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2013. The 2014 Grammy ceremony takes place Jan. 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Released in July 1969, "Honky Tonk Women" (written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards) is one of the Rolling Stones' biggest hits. It went to No. 1 in the U.K. (where it topped the singles chart for five weeks) and the U.S. (were it was No. 1 for four weeks). The song was later included in the Rolling Stones compilation album "Through the Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2)," which was released in September 1969. A honky-tonk version of the song called "Country Honk" was on the Rolling Stones' 1969 album "Let It Bleed."

"You Can't Always Get What You Want" was the B-side to "Honky Tonk Women." Both songs have been included in numerous Rolling Stones compilations.

Grammy Hall of Fame inductees are featured at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. "Honky Tonk Women" is one of 27 recordings (songs, tracks or albums) that are 2014 Grammy Hall of Fame inductees, bringing the total to 960 inductees.

The Rolling Stones' 1972 album "Exile on Main Street" was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012.
