On March 25, 2014, the Rolling Stones' first-ever concert in Israel was officially announced. The show (which is part of the Stones' "14 on Fire" tour) will take place at HaYarkon Park in Tel Aviv on June 4, 2014. Shuki Weiss Promotion and Production Ltd. is promoting the concert.
The Jerusalem Post quoted concert promoter Shuki Weiss as saying: “This is a historic and very meaningful visit. In these days when we hear calls for boycotts from around the world, it’s not taken for granted that a band of this magnitude will come to Israel.”
According to the Jerusalem Post, the Rolling Stones are getting about $6 million to perform in Tel Aviv. Weiss faced competition from concert promoters Gad Oron and Marcel Avraham, who were also in talks to have a Rolling Stones concert in Israel. Weiss says he's been trying to get the Stones to perform in Israel since 1988. He commented on accomplishing that goal: "The longest negotiation I ever conducted is coming to an end."
The Jerusalem Post reports: "Tickets go on sale March 27, but Pelephone customers can get tickets immediately through their carrier’s website, and get a 100 shekel discount. Shuki Weiss is also giving away a free ticket to one lucky fan who posts a photo on his Facebook wall. Lawn tickets sell for NIS 695, Golden Ring for NIS 1,790, and VIP tickets (which will include seats) for NIS 2,850."
As previously reported, the Rolling Stones were rumored to be performing at Ramat Gan Stadium in Ramat Gan, Israel (near Tel Aviv), on June 10, 2014, but the Rolling Stones are actually performing in Berlin on that date.
The reported $6 million that the Rolling Stones will get for the concert in Tel Aviv is believed to be the highest amount for any artist to perform a concert in Israel.
As previously reported, the Rolling Stones are headlining a concert at the 2014 Roskilde Festival in Roskilde, Denmark, on July 3. The announcement was made on March 24, 2014. NME reported that Roskilde Festival head of programming Anders Wahrén made this statement: "For years, we have dreamed of the moment when we got the opportunity to reunite the Rolling Stones with the Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival." Single-day tickets for the festival are currently on sale, but will likely sell out quickly for July 3 now that it has been announced that the Rolling Stones are performing on that date.
According to a Roskilde Festival announcement: "Our iconic Orange Stage was originally designed for the Rolling Stones tour back in the '70s. Having the band on this stage will be pure, unforgettable rock history."
The 2014 Roskilde Festival takes place from June 29 to July 6. Other artists who have been announced to perform at the festival include Arctic Monkeys, Rob Zombie, Damon Albarn, OutKast, Kasabian, Moderat, Warpaint, Merchandise, Haim, Deerhunter, Nails, Earl Sweatshirt, Major Lazer, Pusha T, MØ and Trentemøller.
The Roskilde Festival is one of several concerts that the Rolling Stones are doing as part of their "14 on Fire" tour in 2014.
As previously reported, the Rolling Stones added "14 on Fire" tour dates in Oslo, Norway, on May 26; Lisbon, Portugal, on May 29; and Zurich, Switzerland, on June 1. The Daily Mirror reported the news on March 22, 2014.
The Rolling Stones were going to announce these tour dates during the week of March 17, 2014, but the announcement was postponed due to the tragic death of L'Wren Scott, the fashion designer who was Mick Jagger's girlfriend since 2001.
As previously reported, Scott (who was 49) committed suicide at her New York City apartment on March 17, 2014. She was found hanged from a doorknob.
According to the Daily Mirror It has not yet been announced or reported when tickets for these concerts will go on sale.
The Oslo concert is believed to be the first concert that the Rolling Stones will perform since Scott's death. The venues for these concerts have not yet been officially announced, but the Daily Mirror reports that the Lisbon concert will be part of the Rockin' in Rio Festival. The Rolling Stones have been performing at mostly arenas for the "14 on Fire" tour.
As previously reported, Jagger (who is 70) is in Los Angeles with members of his family as he prepares for Scott's funeral. A spokesperson for Jagger told Us Weekly in a report published on March 20, 2014: "Mick has arrived in L.A. where he is with his daughter Karis and her family who live there."
Karis (who is 44) is Jagger's eldest child. Her mother is Jagger's ex-girlfriend Marsha Hunt. According to Us Weekly, Jagger's other adult children — Jade (who is 42); Elizabeth (also known as Lizzy), who is 30; Jim (who is 28); and Georgia May (who is 22) — have also made plans to be with their father in Los Angeles. (Jagger's two youngest children are 16-year-old Gabriel and 14-year-old Lucas, who may or may not be in Los Angeles, presumably because they are in school.)
Scott lived with Jagger in New York, London and Paris. Before she met Jagger, Scott lived in Los Angeles for several years when she was a stylist. The New York Post reports that Scott's funeral will take place in Los Angeles, according to the wishes of her brother Randy Bambrough. There have been reports that Scott's family wants her to be buried in Utah, the state she lived in when she was a child. Many of her family members still live in Utah.
An unnamed source told the Daily Mirror that although Jagger will attend Scott's funeral, the other members of the Rolling Stones will not to attend in order to avoid extra media attention. The Daily Mirror reports that the funeral, which will not be open to the public, will be held at a location that Scott's family and Jagger want to keep private.

Pollstar reports that Sensible Events chief Andrew Zweck is the coordinator for the tour's European concerts, and he "will be working on a consultancy basis for AEG Live, which is handling the business for the rest of the world." More European concerts on the tour were to be announced, but all tour dates are subject to change.
Former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, who was a special guest on the Rolling Stones' "50 and Counting" concerts in 2012 and 2013, has been a special guest on the Rolling Stones "14 on Fire" tour.
