Whenever people hear the phrase "Rolling out the red carpet", you would figure or assume that it is for some sort of industry-related event. In a number of instances, the carpet is reserved for events such as an album release, private screening of a movie, or some other related event.
This Saturday, December 21st, starting promptly at 4pm, the red carpet is getting rolled out for a good cause, especially during the holiday season.
Thanks to the ongoing work of Phoenix 4 Productions, the 2nd Annual Voices of Christmas Red Carpet Charity Benefit Concert is taking place at Divinity (in Norcross). Linda Gonzalez and Danny Williams are serving as the hosts of this event which is grounded in the performing arts, along with a sense of spirituality and service.
"This Christmas concert will be unlike any other, with some of the best vocalists in the Southeast", notes Phoenix. With veteran acts such as Tony Terry, along with others including Heart Therapy, it promises to be a festive and community-themed event for all.
Patrons are asked to bring a holiday gift for young people (in the age range of 2-15 years old). Tickets for the event are $5 per person, and they are available online.
During the holiday season, a number of community-based organizations are doing their part in making the holidays as enjoyable and as enriching a time for as many people as possible. This Saturday, consider rolling out to the red carpet and sharing some holiday cheer to last throughout the season and the upcoming year.
