Rollerskating is a great way to stay active, socialize with friends and have a good time. Unfortunately, many of the great roller rinks that used to exist in Albuquerque have long gone, leaving only one place that is still open. Roller Skate City has stood the test of time, seeing generations of family members over the years enjoy its space. There's nothing like getting in skates and gliding effortlessly around the rink. It may be difficult for newcomers at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's kind of hard to stop. Luckily, there's regular discounts that you can utilize to roller skate at a fraction of the regular price, including a free day!

Mark your calendars because there is only one day this summer that you can roller skate for free and that is on August 1st, 2014. The Jackie, Tony and Donnie show of 100.3 The Peak have returned with their Free Summer Roadshow that gets Albuquerque residents into local attractions for free, including the La Cascada Waterpark, Hinkle Family Fun Center and more, including to Roller Skate City! On the morning of August 1st, from 6am-10am, show up with some non-perishable food to donate and they'll let you in the door for free! This is a great deal.

There are regular discounts that you can take advantage of any time of the year. Regular admission price is $4.75 with $2.00 shoe rental. Admission is only $3.00 on Saturdays from 6-8pm with a Military id. Sunday nights from 6-8pm are only $4.00 with a free slice of pizza for each paying member. Pixie class for kids ages 2-6 is only $4.00 admission on Thursdays from 10-11:30 and they earn a free t-shirt after 10 visits. On the 4th Monday of the month from 6-8pm you can skate for $4.00 admission and listen to Christian music while skating. Be sure to watch their website for deals as they change so you don't miss out on great discounts for skating. They also sell Summer Membership Cards at schools for only $3 that gets you $1 admission all summer long!
